The technological sophistication and quantity of mechanical equipment are also increasing. This increased equipment volume has heightened management challenges, making the proper maintenance and upkeep of this equipment a crucial aspect of wastewater treatment plant management. However, it's undeniable that many wastewater treatment plants lack a concept of regular equipment management and maintenance. Modern production operations demand the continuous adoption of intelligent and high-tech mechanical equipment in wastewater treatment processes. Therefore, wastewater treatment plant operations currently face a contradiction: equipment requires management and maintenance, but the availability of qualified personnel and management concepts lags behind, creating a bottleneck for plant development.

 

Because equipment maintenance requires procedures, including regular cleaning, lubrication, equipment monitoring and inspection, etc., replacing and repairing parts is an essential part of daily work. Wastewater treatment plant maintenance personnel must attach great importance to this routine work to ensure stable equipment operation. However, in reality, equipment maintenance work does not receive sufficient attention. The lack of professionalism among equipment maintenance personnel often leads to inadequate maintenance systems and plans. Furthermore, the absence of effective mechanisms in daily operations results in low work enthusiasm, causing delays in equipment repair when malfunctions occur.

 

For wastewater treatment plants to operate efficiently, the balance between operating costs and maintenance time must be considered. This issue significantly impacts the plant's overall efficiency. Properly allocating spare parts is essential for operation and management. However, due to the cost of critical components such as bearings, seals, and gears, many wastewater treatment plants lack sufficient inventory. When malfunctions occur, spare parts are often unavailable, leading to rushed procurement that inadvertently increases repair costs, renders equipment inoperable, and prevents wastewater treatment. Therefore, adequate inventory is crucial for the normal operation of wastewater treatment plants. However, excessive spare parts inventory can also hinder usability. Resolving this contradiction presents a significant challenge for wastewater treatment plants.
